Teachnow is an education-industry employment and professional networking platform that enables teachers, educators, job seekers, schools, colleges, coaching institutes, EdTech companies, recruitment agencies and other employers to discover employment opportunities and connect with one another.
By accessing or using Teachnow, creating an account, submitting information, applying for a job, posting a job, searching the Resume Database, purchasing a service, or otherwise using the Platform, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.
Where consent is required under applicable law, we will obtain consent through an appropriate mechanism before processing personal information for the relevant purpose.

Teachnow operates primarily as an online employment and professional connection platform.
Teachnow provides technology that enables employers and job seekers to discover one another and communicate.
Unless expressly stated otherwise:
· Teachnow is not the employer of any teacher, job seeker or candidate.
· Teachnow is not the employer of any recruiter or institution using the Platform.
· Teachnow does not make hiring decisions.
· Teachnow does not guarantee employment.
· Teachnow does not guarantee that a particular candidate will be suitable for a particular position.
· Teachnow does not guarantee that a particular employer will offer employment.
· Teachnow does not participate in employment negotiations unless a separate service expressly provides otherwise.
· Teachnow does not conduct education verification, employment verification, identity verification, criminal background verification, reference verification or other employment-related verification services.
· Teachnow does not make recommendations or decisions concerning whether a person should be hired.
The actual employment relationship, if any, is solely between the relevant employer and candidate.

You should not submit unnecessary sensitive or confidential information through your Teachnow profile or resume.
5. Government Identification Documents
Teachnow does not ordinarily require job seekers to provide Aadhaar, PAN, passport, driving licence, bank account information or other government-issued identity documents for ordinary job-seeker registration.
Employers, schools, colleges, coaching institutes, EdTech companies, recruitment agencies and other organisations may be required to submit documents demonstrating the legitimacy or existence of their organisation.
Such documents may include, depending on the circumstances:
· GST registration certificates;
· Organisation registration documents;
· Business registration documents;
· Licences;
· Institutional registration documents;
· Other documents reasonably required to establish the authenticity of the organisation.
Such documents may contain personal information relating to representatives, directors, proprietors, partners or other individuals associated with the organisation.
6. Information Provided by Employers and Institutions
Employers and institutions may provide:
· Organisation/school/institute name;
· Recruiter name;
· Recruiter designation;
· Business or institutional address;

· PAN or other business identifiers;

Teachnow may use organisation information to create and maintain employer profiles, process job postings, provide Resume Database services, administer subscriptions, prevent fraud and abuse, and operate the Platform.
7. Job Applications
When a job seeker applies for a job through Teachnow, information contained in the applicant’s profile, resume and application may be made available to the relevant employer or recruiter.
Depending on the functionality used, this may include:

Once information is provided to an employer, the employer may independently process that information for recruitment and employment-related purposes.
8. Resume Database
Teachnow provides a Resume Database/Search functionality that allows registered employers and authorised recruiters to search for candidates.
Depending on the applicable account, subscription and access controls:
· Employers may search candidate profiles;
· Employers may view professional information;
· Employers may access resumes;
· Employers may download resumes;
· Employers may unlock candidate contact information;
· Employers may contact candidates directly regarding employment opportunities.
By creating a profile and making information available through the Resume Database, a job seeker acknowledges and understands that their professional information may be accessed by authorised employers/recruiters for legitimate recruitment-related purposes.
Teachnow does not control how an employer subsequently uses information obtained through the Platform.
Teachnow does not permit employers to use candidate information for unlawful purposes, harassment, fraud, discrimination, unsolicited commercial activity or purposes unrelated to legitimate recruitment. Users are required to comply with Teachnow’s applicable Terms of Use and other platform rules.
If you believe an employer is misusing your information, you may report the matter to Teachnow at support@teachnow.in.
9. Employer Contact With Candidates
Teachnow is a platform connecting employers and job seekers.
After receiving candidate information through a job application, Resume Database access or other permitted Platform functionality, an employer may contact the candidate directly.
Such communication may occur through:
· Telephone;
· Email;
· WhatsApp;
· Other communication channels voluntarily made available by the candidate;
· Communication functionality provided by Teachnow.
Teachnow is not responsible for communications or interactions occurring directly between employers and candidates after the parties have been connected, except to the extent required by applicable law.
Users should exercise reasonable caution when communicating with persons or organisations they have met through the Platform.
10. Information Collected Automatically
As Teachnow develops and improves its Platform, we may collect certain technical and usage information automatically, including where applicable:

Where a user provides a mobile number and uses features involving WhatsApp or SMS communication, Teachnow may use that number to send relevant service or promotional communications in accordance with applicable law and the user’s communication preferences.
Users may opt out of promotional communications where an appropriate opt-out mechanism is provided.
Teachnow may use third-party providers such as MSG91 or WhatsApp-related service providers to deliver communications.

Teachnow does not currently intend to use personal information for behavioural advertising or personalised recommendations unrelated to the core functionality of the Platform.
17. We Do Not Sell or Rent Personal Information
TutorKhoj does not sell or rent users’ personal information as a commercial data product.
Teachnow’s business model involves connecting job seekers and employers.
Accordingly, information may be made available to authorised employers or recruiters when:
· A candidate applies for a job;
· A candidate’s profile is available through the Resume Database;
· An employer accesses permitted Resume Database functionality;
· A candidate otherwise chooses to make information available through the Platform.
Such sharing is part of the core functionality of Teachnow and should not be interpreted as TutorKhoj selling or renting the candidate’s personal information.
18. Third-Party Disclosure
Teachnow may disclose or provide access to personal information where reasonably necessary to:
· Employers and recruiters using the Platform;
· Service providers processing information on behalf of TutorKhoj;
· Payment providers;
· Hosting providers;
· Cloud infrastructure providers;

Teachnow currently serves users in India. However, certain technology and cloud infrastructure used by Teachnow may be located outside India.
Teachnow currently uses Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure, including infrastructure located in the United States.
Accordingly, personal information submitted through Teachnow may be processed, stored or accessed outside India.
By using Teachnow, users acknowledge that their information may be processed in jurisdictions outside India, subject to applicable law and appropriate contractual, technical and organisational safeguards.
TutorKhoj will comply with applicable Indian requirements governing cross-border processing and international transfers of personal information.
20. Data Security
TutorKhoj takes reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, destruction, loss, misuse or other unlawful processing.
Depending on the nature and sensitivity of the information and the applicable technology, security measures may include:

· Secure authentication mechanisms;
· Password protection;
· Access controls;
· Role-based permissions;
· Firewalls;
· Cloud security controls;

Users may deactivate/close their Teachnow account using the functionality made available by Teachnow or by contacting support.
When an account is deactivated:
· The user’s profile will no longer be available to employers through normal Resume Database functionality;
· The user will not be able to log in while the account remains deactivated;
· The user’s profile and resume will no longer be presented as an active candidate profile;
· Certain information may remain in TutorKhoj systems for legitimate business, security, legal, accounting, tax, fraud-prevention or dispute-resolution purposes.
Deactivation should therefore not be interpreted as requiring immediate physical deletion of every copy of information from every system, backup or legally required record.
Where applicable law provides a right to erasure, TutorKhoj will process such requests in accordance with the applicable legal requirements.
24. Access and Correction of Personal Information
Registered users can generally view and modify personal information through their Teachnow account.
Users should ensure that the information provided to Teachnow is accurate, complete and up to date.
If you are unable to correct information through your account, you may contact:

25. Withdrawal of Consent
Where processing is based on consent, users may withdraw consent through the mechanism provided by Teachnow or by contacting us.
Withdrawal of consent will not affect processing that:

· Is necessary to comply with a legal obligation;
· Is necessary for security, fraud prevention or dispute resolution;
· Is necessary for other lawful purposes where permitted by applicable law.
Withdrawal of consent may affect our ability to provide certain Platform features.

Teachnow does not currently provide a self-service data-export functionality.

27. Children’s Privacy
Teachnow is primarily intended for adults seeking employment and employers/recruiters.
Teachnow does not intentionally design its services for children under 18 years of age.
Individuals under 18 should not create a Teachnow job-seeker or employer account unless they are legally permitted to use the relevant service and any legally required parental or guardian consent has been obtained.
If Teachnow becomes aware that personal information relating to a child has been collected in circumstances where applicable law requires parental or guardian consent and such consent has not been obtained, TutorKhoj may take appropriate steps, including restricting or deactivating the account and deleting or otherwise handling the information as required by applicable law.
Parents or legal guardians who believe that a child has provided personal information to Teachnow may contact:

28. Employer Responsibilities
Employers, schools, institutions and recruiters using Teachnow are responsible for using candidate information only for legitimate and lawful recruitment-related purposes.
Employers must not:
· Use candidate information for unlawful purposes;
· Sell or redistribute candidate information;
· Use candidate information for unrelated marketing;
· Harass or intimidate candidates;
· Misrepresent employment opportunities;
· Use candidate information for fraudulent activities;
· Attempt to obtain unnecessary sensitive information;
· Circumvent Teachnow’s access controls;
· Use candidate information in violation of applicable law.
Employers are responsible for their own processing of candidate information after receiving it through Teachnow.
29. Candidate Responsibilities
Candidates are responsible for ensuring that information submitted to Teachnow is:
· Accurate;
· Current;
· Not misleading;
· Lawfully provided;
· Not confidential information belonging to another person or organisation;
· Not infringing the rights of another person.
Candidates should avoid uploading unnecessary sensitive information or government identification documents to their public or searchable profile.
Candidates should exercise caution before providing additional information directly to employers.
30. Employer Verification
Teachnow may request certain information or documents from employers or institutions to help establish the legitimacy of an organisation.
However, unless a specific verification service is expressly offered:
· Teachnow does not guarantee that every employer is legitimate;
· Teachnow does not guarantee the accuracy of every document submitted by an employer;
· Teachnow does not conduct criminal background checks;
· Teachnow does not conduct employee background checks;
· Teachnow does not guarantee the safety of interactions between users;
· Users should independently verify employers, job offers and employment conditions before making commitments.
31. No Employment Guarantee
Teachnow is a technology platform intended to facilitate connections between job seekers and employers.
Registration, profile creation, resume visibility, job application or communication with an employer does not guarantee:
· An interview;
· A job offer;
· Employment;
· Salary;
· Promotion;
· Career advancement;
· Any particular employment outcome.
All employment decisions are made independently by employers.
32. Third-Party Websites and Services
Teachnow may contain links to third-party websites, applications, social-media platforms or other services.
TutorKhoj does not control those third parties.
Once you leave Teachnow or interact with a third-party service, that third party’s terms and privacy practices may apply.
Users should review the applicable privacy policies of third-party services before providing information.
33. Third-Party APIs and Artificial Intelligence Services
Teachnow may use third-party APIs and technology services, including OpenAI APIs and other technology providers, for specific Platform functionality.
Where personal information is processed through such services, TutorKhoj will seek to configure and use the services in accordance with applicable law and contractual requirements.
TutorKhoj will not intentionally submit unnecessary sensitive personal information to third-party AI services for unrelated purposes.

34. Google Maps, reCAPTCHA and Similar Services
